Monthly Meteorological Report for Ferny Grove, Brisbane in April 2019 – near average temperatures and average rainfall

At Ferny Grove during April overnight temperatures was near average but slightly warmer than normal. Daytime temperatures were near average. Across the Brisbane area many of the official sites observed above average overnight temperatures but were close to average at some sites. Daytime temperatures as recorded by the official sites were generally close to average but were above average at some sites. At Ferny Grove rainfall was near average but was above the long term median. In the Brisbane area many official sites observed near average rainfall, though some sites observed below or above average rainfall totals. At Ferny Grove air pressure was well above average, mean humidity was below average, mean maximum humidity was below average, mean minimum relative humidity was well below average, mean dew point was near average, mean minimum dew point was below average, mean maximum dew point was near average, wind speed was near average and there were zero thunderstorms (1 thunder days).

 

Temperature– near average day-time and overnight temperatures

Monthly Mean Minimum Temperature: 16.4 ºC, 0.4 °C above average and 0.4 °C higher than same month in 2018. This is the fifth highest on record for April and the highest since 16.5 °C in 2016. All of the official sites in the Brisbane area were above average, though some of these sites were within 0.5 °C of the long term average. Sites that were close to the long term average were Amberley (0.2 °C above average with a mean minimum temperature of 14.2 °C), Beaudesert (0.4 °C above average) and 14.4 °C, Brisbane (0.5 °C above average) and 17.9 °C, Redcliffe (0.4 °C above average) and 18.2 °C and Gatton (0.3 °C above average) and 14 °C. The other sites observed mean minimum temperatures that were between 0.6 and 0.8 °C above average. The highest anomaly of 0.8 °C above average was observed by Cape Moreton Lighthouse (19.9 °C) and Logan City Treatment Plant (16.9 °C). The highest mean minimum temperature was 20.1 °C at Point Lookout (0.6 °C above average), while the lowest mean minimum temperature was 14 °C at Gatton.

 

Monthly Mean Maximum Temperature: 26.7 °C, 0.1 °C below average and 1.6 °C lower than same month in 2018. This is the fifth highest on record for April and the lowest since 26.6 °C in 2017. In the Brisbane area the official sites mean maximum temperatures were close to average at many sites whilst some sites observed some that were above average. The lowest anomaly from the long term average was 0.4 °C below average at Brisbane Aero with a mean maximum temperature of 25.6 °C. The other sites close to average were Amberley (0.5 °C above average and 27.7°C), Brisbane (0.2 °C below average and 26.9 °C), Logan City Treatment Plant (on average and 26.4°C), Point Lookout (0.3 °C above average and 26.7 °C) and Redcliffe (0.1 °C below average and 25.9 °C). The remaining sites were above average of 0.6 °C and 0.7 °C above average and these were mostly the inland sites with the exception of Cape Moreton Lighthouse which was 0.7 °C above with a mean maximum temperature of 25 °C. The highest anomaly of 0.7 °C above average was observed by Gatton (27.9 °C) and Cape Moreton Lighthouse. The highest mean maximum temperature was 27.9 °C at Gatton and the lowest mean maximum temperature was 25 °C at Cape Moreton Lighthouse.

 

Mean Monthly Temperature: 21.6 °C, 0.1 °C above average and 0.5 °C lower than same month in 2018. This is the fourth highest on record for April and the lowest since 20.6 °C in 2017.

 

Lowest Temperature: 14.1 °C at 5:50 AM on 13 April 2019. Same month in 2018 was 11.7 ºC. This is the second highest monthly minimum temperature for April on record, with the highest being 14.8 °C in 2011 on the 10 April at 6:45 AM, the twenty-fifth lowest daily minimum temperature for April and the lowest since 11.7 °C on 30 April 2018 at 6:42 AM. Official stations in the Brisbane area observed the lowest temperature of the month on the 1st and 13th at some sites and also on the 12th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 29th and 30th. The lowest was 10.7 °C at Gatton on the 29th and the highest was 17.8 °C at Point Lookout on the 16th. The lowest temperature at Brisbane was 17.9 °C on the 1st. There was a cool period during the middle of the month, with some cool nights at the end of the month. At the start of the month were cool nights at some sites.

 

Highest Temperature: 30.5 °C at 2:07 PM on 8 April 2019. Same month in 2018 was 33.1 ºC. This is the fifth highest monthly maximum temperature for April on record, the equal lowest since 30.5 °C in 2014 on 5 April at 2:06 PM, the equal twelfth highest daily maximum temperature for April and the highest since 31.6 °C on 17 April 2018 at 12:37 PM. The official sites measured the highest temperature for the month on the 8th and 9th at most sites and at some sites on the 6th and 7th. The lowest was 27.3 °C at Brisbane Aero on 8th and 9th and Cape Moreton Lighthouse on 8th and the highest was 31.1 °C at Gatton on the 9th. Brisbane observed its highest temperature of 29.4 °C on the 9th. Above average daytime temperatures mostly occurred between the 6th and 10th and to a lesser degree were scattered through the month but mostly later in the month.

 

Lowest Maximum Temperature: 23.3 °C at 12:41 PM on 23 April 2019. This is the third lowest monthly April lowest maximum temperature on record, the lowest since 22.8 °C in 2017 on 26 April at 2:15 PM, the equal fifteenth lowest maximum temperature for April and the lowest since 22.8 °C on 26 April 2017 at 2:15 PM. This month in 2018 was 23.9 °C. Official stations in the Brisbane area measured the coolest day at many sites on the 30th and at some sites on the 12th, 15th, 17th and 29th. These ranged between 21.5 °C at Beerburrum on the 29th and 24.6 °C at Amberley and Gatton on the 30th. The lowest maximum temperature at Brisbane was 24.3 °C on the 30th. In the Brisbane area official sites measured cool days during much of the month and especially during the middle of the month and the last two days of the month.

 

Highest Minimum Temperature: 19 °C on 20 April 2019 at 5:11 AM. This is the fourth lowest monthly April highest minimum temperature on record, the lowest since 18.7 °C in 2014 on 12 April at 4:50 AM, the fourteenth highest daily minimum temperature for April and the highest since 19.4 °C on 4 April 2018 at 6:58 AM. This month in 2018 was 19.4 °C. Official stations in the Brisbane area measured the warmest night at some sites on the 1st, 12th to 16th, 29th and 30th. These ranged between 10.7 °C at Gatton on the 29th and 17.8 °C at Point Lookout on the 16th. The highest minimum temperature at Brisbane was 15.8 °C on the 1st. In the Brisbane area there were many warm nights in 2 distinct periods early in the month and also later in the month. In between the warm periods was below average overnight temperatures.

 

Monthly Mean Minimum Grass Temperature: 15.3 °C (1.1 °C higher than same month in 2018)

 

Lowest Minimum Grass Temperature: 12.8 °C on 16 April 2019 (2.1 °C lower than same month in 2018).

 

Highest Minimum Grass Temperature: 17.8 °C on 20 April 2019 (0.5 °C lower than same month in 2018). This coincided with the highest minimum temperature of 19 °C for the month.

 

Highest Minimum Grass Temperature Depression: 2.0 °C on 18 April 2019 with a minimum grass temperature of 13.8 °C and an air temperature of 15.8 °C.

 

Lowest Minimum Grass Temperature Depression: 0.4 °C on 8 April 2019 with a minimum grass temperature of 15.8 °C and an air temperature of 16.2 °C.

 

At Ferny Grove during April minimum temperature were predominately above average, though there was a period of cool nights during the middle of the month and at the end of the month. The 1st was 2 °C below average, close to average on the 2nd and followed by nights of 1 to 2 °C above average between the 3rd and 7th. The 8th and 9th was on average, warming to 1 °C above average on the 10th and 2 °C above average on the 11th. A cool period followed between the 12th and 17th being 1 to 2 °C below average. The 18th was on average before a warm period followed between the 19th and 26th. Except for the 24th which was on average minimum temperatures were 2 °C above average and 3 °C above average on the 20th and 21st, and easing to 1 °C above average on the 26th. Below average temperatures followed at the end of the month at 1 °C below average except for the 28th which was on average.

 

Maximum temperatures during the month at Ferny Grove were generally close to or below average with several above average days mostly early in the month. The first two days were close to average and cooled to 2 °C below average on the 3rd. A warm period followed between the 4th and 10th with the 4th to 6th being 1 °C above average, the 7th to 9th was 3 to 4 °C above average and the 10th was 1 °C above average. Then the 11th to 12^th was 1 to 2 °C below average, close to average on the 14th to 17th and 1 °C below average on the 16th. The 18th was 1 °C above average, the 19th was close to average and followed by another cool period from the 20th to 25th. The 20th was 3 °C below average, the 21st and 22nd was 1 °C below average, the 23rd was 4 °C below average and the 24th was 1 °C below average. The 25th was close to average before warming to 1 °C above average on the 26th and 28th and 2 °C above average on the 27th. The 29th and 30th was 3 °C below average.

Monthly Mean Minimum MSL Pressure: 1018.9 hPa (4.2 hPa higher than same month in 2018). This is the highest on record for April exceeding the previous record high of 1017.7 hPa in 2016.

 

Monthly Mean Maximum MSL Pressure: 1022.8 hPa (4.1 hPa higher than same month in 2018). This is the highest on record for April exceeding the previous record high of 1021.7 hPa in 2016.

 

Monthly Mean MSL Pressure: 1020.9 hPa (4.4 hPa above average, 4.1 hPa higher than same month in 2018). This is the highest on record for April exceeding the previous record high of 1019.7 hPa in 2016.

 

Lowest MSL Pressure: 1013.7 hPa on 10 April 2019 at 3:24 AM. The same month in 2018 saw 1009.1 hPa. This is the second highest monthly minimum air pressure for April, the highest since the record high of 1014.4 hPa in 2016 on 11 April at 2:51 PM, the forty-ninth lowest daily air pressure for April and the lowest since 1010.2 hPa on the 26 April 2018 at 2:45 PM.

 

Highest MSL Pressure: 1026.0 hPa on 4 April 2019 at 9:27 AM. The same month in 2018 saw 1023.8 hPa. This is the fifth lowest April monthly maximum air pressure, the highest since 1026.2 hPa in 2017 on 20 April at 8:48 AM, the ninth highest daily maximum air pressure for April and the highest since 1026.2 hPa on 20 April 2017 at 8:48 AM.

Note: Air pressure measurements are being closely monitored to maintain its accuracy. Over the month of April, a difference of 0.03 hPa higher compared to the official BoM Brisbane site – No. 040913 was observed which is deemed optimum.

 

Relative Humidity–below average mean humidity, below average mean maximum humidity and well below mean minimum humidity

Monthly Mean Minimum Humidity: 51.4 % (0.2 % higher than same month in 2018 and 7 % below average). This is the lowest on record for April exceeding the old record of 51.5 % in 2017.

 

Monthly Mean Maximum Humidity: 89.1 % (1.3 % lower than same month in 2018 and 1.2 % below average). This is fifth lowest on record for April and the lowest since 89.1% in 2016.

 

Monthly Mean Humidity: 70.4 % (0.5 % lower than same month in 2018 and 4.1 % below average). This is the fifth lowest on record for April and the lowest since 70.1 % in 2017.

 

Lowest Humidity: 28 % on 5 April 2019 at 2:18 PM (9 % lower than this month in 2018). This is the lowest monthly and daily minimum humidity for April on record exceeding the old record of 29 % on 10 April 2017 at 6:39 PM.

Monthly mean dew point: 15.9 °C (0.4 °C below average). This is the third lowest monthly mean dew point for April and the lowest since 14.7 °C in 2017.

 

Lowest dew point: 7 °C on 5 April 2019 at 2:19 PM. This is the fifth lowest monthly dew point for April, the lowest since 3.4 °C in 2017 on 5 April at 9:05 PM, the equal ninth lowest daily dew point for April and the lowest since 4.1 °C on 11 April 2017 at 12:00 AM.

 

Highest dew point: 22.2 °C on 20 April 2019 at 2:04 PM. This is the fifth highest monthly maximum dew point on record for April, the lowest since 19.8 °C in 2017 on 26 April at 4:09 PM, equal eighth highest daily dew point for April and the highest since 23 °C on 15 April 2018 at 3:39 PM.

 

Wind Speed– near average wind speed

Maximum Wind Gust: 37 km/hr on 20 April 2019 at 4:45 PM. This is the fourth lowest April maximum wind gust and the lowest since 19.4 km/hr in 2013 on the 3 April at 3:13 PM. The maximum wind gust this month last year was 55.7 km/hr. This is the twenty-first highest daily wind gust on record for April and the highest since 37.6 km/hr on 30 April 2018 at 10:45 AM.

 

Maximum Wind Speed: 15 km/hr on 19 April 2019 at 1:02 PM (Light Breeze Force Wind). This is the lowest monthly maximum wind speed for April, exceeding the previous record of 15.6 km/hr in 2012 on 12 April at 1:55 PM, the forty-eighth highest daily wind speed on record for April and the highest since 15.1 km/hr on 30 April 2017 at 12:48 PM.

 

Wind Run: 2666.9 km (1446.1 km higher than same month in 2018), 1509 km above average and 43.4 % above average. This is the highest on record for April total wind run exceeding the old record of 1776.3 km in 2017.

 

Monthly Mean Wind Speed: 3.7 km/hr (2 km higher than this month in 2018), 2.1 km/hr above average and 56.7 % above average (approx. 3 % above average accounting for measuring equipment changes). This is the highest on record for April exceeding the old record of 2.4 km/hr in 2017.

 

Daily Mean Maximum Wind Gust: 24.6 km/hr (8.4 km/hr lower than this month in 2018), 1.2 km/hr below average and 4.7 % below average. This is the fifth highest daily mean maximum wind speed on record for April and the lowest since 23.2 km/hr in 2014.

 

Daily Mean Maximum Wind Speed: 11.7 km/hr, 4.4 km/hr lower than this month last year, 2.2 km/hr below average and 15.8 % below average. This is the third lowest daily mean maximum wind speed on record for April and the lowest since 8.9 km/hr in 2012.

Rainfall–near average (above median) rainfall

Monthly Rainfall Total: 64.9 mm (30.8 mm below average) and 67.8 % of the long term average. This total is in decile 5/ 66th percentile which ranks as average and 20.7 mm above the long term median (147 % of long term median). This total is higher than this month last year which was 40.2 mm, the twelfth highest on record and the highest since 104.8 mm in 2013.

 

In the Brisbane area the main official sites measured generally near average rainfall totals, though some sites measured above or below average rainfall totals. Many sites ranked as average and measured totals of between 49 and 106 % of the long term average. Many of these sites were the coastal sites, with the lowest totals observed by Amberley with a total of 26.6 mm (49% of the long term average). The highest total of these sites was observed by Point Lookout with 116.4 mm measured (69% of the long term average) while the highest anomaly of these sites was 106 % of the long term average by Logan City Treatment Plant (85 mm). Beerburrum ranked as high with a total of 150.4 mm (131 % of the long term average) and observed the highest anomaly above the long term average. Beaudesert recorded a total of 12.2 mm which ranked as low and was 28 % of the long term average. The lowest rainfall and the lowest anomaly below the long term total of the main sites was observed by Gatton which was 23 % of the long term average with a total of 11 mm. The highest total reported from all the official sites was 212.4 mm at Landsborough.

 

During the month rainfall occurred from showers produced from moist onshore flow with the highest totals at most locations at the start of the month or on 20th or 21st.

 

Number of Rain Days (0.1 mm or greater): 16 days, 1 less than this month last year and 6.4 days above average. This is the equal fourth highest on record and lowest since 8 days in 2017.

 

Highest Daily Total: 28.4 mm on 21 April 2019. This is the eleventh highest April daily rainfall on record on monthly basis, highest since 51 mm in 2015 which occurred on the 1 April, the twenty-ninth highest April daily rainfall on record on daily basis and the highest since 42 mm on 3 April 2015. The highest daily total in the Brisbane area of all official sites was 51.8 mm at Woodford Stanmore on the 21 April 2019.

 

Monthly Rainfall Total – (automatic gauge) 24 hours to 9am: 71.2 mm (6.3 mm greater than the site official standard gauge and within 9.7%). Highest daily total of automatic gauge, (24 hours to 9am): 31.8 mm on 21 April 2019, (24 hours from midnight): 34.8 mm on 20 April 2019

 

Note: This automatic gauge for the month of April, meets the accuracy (of +/- 10% of the standard gauge) at +9.7%.

 

On the 2nd was an early shower with 0.5 mm measured, followed by a light shower in the early afternoon and light showers in the early hours on the 3rd which produced 4.5 mm on the 3rd. On the 3rd was light showers at times from late morning and more frequent with briefly moderate falls in the afternoon and cleared in the afternoon. On the 4th were early light brief showers clearing with 8.9 mm measured on the 4th. On the 5th were early light showers clearing with 1.4 mm measured on the 5th. There early light showers early on the 6th with 0.4 mm measured. On the 12th were light showers in the late morning to mid afternoon, followed by afternoon drizzle into the evening with light to moderate showers clearing by mid evening. 4 mm was measured on the 13th. There were a light few drops in late afternoon of the 15th. The 16th saw light showers in the late morning and early afternoon with 1.7 mm on the 17th. Light showers in the early hours and drizzle in the early hours on the 19th with 2.1 mm measured on the 19th. In the late morning were brief light showers, followed by intermittent light showers in afternoon before light to moderate showers with brief heavy falls clearing early evening. In the late evening was a light shower, followed by a few brief light showers early on the 20th with 6.1 mm measured.

 

Showers continued during the morning with heavy falls from mid morning to mid afternoon. From the late afternoon there were light showers until mid evening and on the 21st were a few light showers in the early hours with 28.4 mm measured on the 21st. The showers returned in the late morning to early afternoon, in the late afternoon and some in the evening. On the 22nd 1.3 mm was measured following light showers that cleared early. From the late morning were showers occasionally, more frequent in late afternoon with some brief moderate to heavy falls. On the 23rd 4.2 mm was measured, with frequent light showers from mid morning to mid afternoon with 1.5 mm measured on the 24th. In the evening of the 24th were some light showers on the 24th with 0.1 mm measured on the 25th. On the 30th was early morning drizzle with 0.2 mm measured. From the late morning there some more drizzle and at times there were light showers and drizzle from early afternoon and less frequent in the evening.

 

There was 1 day with falls of at least 25 mm (1 greater than same month in 2018) with 11 days of less than 1mm (1 less than same month in 2018).

 

Highest rainfall rate was 188.8 mm/hr on the 20 April 2019 at 4:41 PM. This is the highest monthly and daily rainfall rate for April exceeding the previous record high of 74.6 mm/hr on 2 April 2015 at 5:25 PM.

 

The highest hourly rainfall total was 14.2 mm on the 20 April 2019 at 5:30 PM. This is the third highest monthly and daily maximum hourly rainfall and the highest since the current record high of 21.2 mm on 1 April 2015 at 7:50 AM.

Weather influences

• On the 1st a high pressure over the Great Australian Bight extended a ridge over much of the state with a dry and stable air mass
• The high pressure system shifted east into the Tasman Sea on the 2nd which extended a ridge along the east coast with a resulting onshore wind flow. This and a upper level trough moving through south east Queensland brought coastal showers
• On the 3rd the high pressure system moved slowly east over the Tasman Sea and maintained the onshore wind flow and ridge along the east coast
• A new high pressure system shifted east into the Tasman Sea on the 4th and maintained the ridge along the east coast with moist onshore flow persisting
• On the 5th and 6th the ridge along the east coast started to ease as the high pressure system shifts further east over the Tasman Sea. The moist onshore flow eased as a result
• On the 7th and 8th the high pressure system continued to move east over the Tasman Sea and was located near New Zealand. The ridge eased along the east Queensland coast with a weak influence along the south Queensland coast
• The weak ridge persisted along the east coast on the 9th. A warm air mass shifted east over the state ahead of the surface trough over the interior
• On the 10th the coastal section of a surface trough shifted rapidly through south east Queensland reaching the northern end of the region in the evening. In the wake of the trough a new high pressure system extended a ridge extending some moist air.
• On the 11th onshore wind flow extended along the east coast as a high pressure system over south east Australia extended a firm ridge
• The high pressure system slowly shifted east wards into the western Tasman Sea and maintained the ridge and moist onshore wind flow along the east Queensland coast
• On the 13th the high pressure system shifted east over the western Tasman Sea and decayed as another high pressure system shifted eastwards over south-eastern Australia and maintained the ridge and moist onshore wind flow over the east Queensland coast
• On the 14th the high pressure system shifted east over the western Tasman Sea maintaining the firm ridge and moist onshore wind flow along the east Queensland coast
• The high pressure system drifted further east over the Tasman Sea on the 15th with the ridge remaining in place and the moist onshore wind flow persisting
• On the 16th to 18th a high pressure system shifted eastwards over the Tasman Sea and maintained a ridge and moist onshore flow along the east Queensland. An upper level trough also shifted east over the state on the 16th and 17th.
• On the 19th a high pressure system shifted east over the Tasman Sea as another high pressure system shifted east over the Tasman Sea maintaining a ridge along the east Queensland coast. Instability persisted with a weak coastal trough over the region and a upper level trough over the state
• On the 20th a high pressure system in the Tasman Sea shifted slowly eastwards and maintained a ridge along the east Queensland coast. A upper level trough also shifted eastwards over the state and combined with the moist onshore winds to bring instability in the onshore wind flow
• A high pressure system in the Tasman Sea that became slow moving on the 21st to 25th extended a ridge along the east coast maintaining a moist onshore flow and associated instability
• On the 26th a coastal trough shifted northwards along the southern coast reaching the Capricornia late in the day. The ridge along the east Queensland coast weakened as a result
• On the 27th a surface trough shifted through the region with a dry south to south-easterly wind surge
• A high pressure system shifted east over southern Australia on the 28th and extended a ridge through much of the state. This extended onshore flow along the east Queensland coast
• The high pressure system shifted east into the Tasman Sea on the 29th and became slow moving on the 30th. This maintained the ridge and moist onshore flow along the east Queensland coast

Near average dew point falling during the morning, becoming low in the afternoon, before rising sharply at 4 pm and then stable and near average for rest of the day. Moderately low relative humidity from mid morning and rising sharply to near average at 4 pm. Light and variable winds early, becoming S to SW in early morning, S to SE from mid morning, SSE to SE from mid afternoon.
• 6/4/19: Early light showers clearing to a fine and partly cloudy day, with cu and sc clouds. Variable temperature during the middle of the day to the mid afternoon. Light and variable winds early, becoming light W to SW and then S to SW in the early morning, SE to NE from late morning, E to NE in late afternoon before easing during the evening.
• 7/4/19: Fine and sunny with some cu cloud development during the day. Near average dew point rising and then falling during the early to mid morning. Light and variable winds early becoming SSE to ENE from mid morning, ESE to NE from early afternoon, E to NE from late afternoon and light and variable and calm at times in the evening.
• 8/4/19: Fine and sunny. Some cu cloud developing from the morning after early sc clouds. Near average during the day but variable dew point from mid morning to mid afternoon. A warm day. Light and variable winds in early morning shifting NE to NE, E to NE from late afternoon and NW to NE in the evening.
• 9/4/19: Fine. Sunny with some sc and cu clouds before ci and cs developing during the day. Variable and near average dew point over the entire day. A warm day. Light NW to NE winds from early morning, NNW to NW from mid morning and N to NE from mid afternoon.
• 10/4/19: Fine. Partly cloudy with sc and cu clouds and cloudy at times. The temperature was variable during the day and during the morning rose slower from 8 am with a wind change. The relative humidity sharply fell with the wind change. Light and variable winds early before SW to SE winds associated with a south-easterly wind change, shifting S to SE from late morning and SSW to SSE from late afternoon.
• 11/4/19: Fine. Partly cloudy with cu and sc clouds. Variable temperature from mid morning to mid afternoon. Near average dew point falling to moderately low during the afternoon before slowly rising in the late afternoon and falling slowly again in the evening. Moderately low relative humidity during the afternoon. Light SSE to SSW winds early shifting S to SE from early morning, SE'ly from mid afternoon before backing in the evening becoming S to WSW in late evening.
• 12/4/19: Light showers in the late morning to mid afternoon. Late afternoon drizzle into the evening with light to moderate showers clearing by mid evening. Partly cloudy with cu and sc clouds, heavy at times. The temperature was quite variable from mid morning to late afternoon. Slowly falling moderately low dew point early before generally rising during the morning becoming close to average later in the day and falling slowly in the evening. The relative humidity was also quite variable.
• 13/4/19: Fine. Partly cloudy with cu clouds. Cool morning. Moderately low dew point early before rising to near average during the morning, then quickly falling in the late morning to moderately low for the rest of the day. Light S to SW winds early, veering during the morning and becoming S to SE from late morning. Light SSW to SSE in the late evening and easing in the evening.
• 14/4/19: Fine. Partly cloudy with cu clouds with ci and cs clouds and some cc clouds at times. Moderately low dew point falling from early morning, rising in the late afternoon and stable for rest of day close to average. Moderately low relative humidity during the day. Light and variable winds early, then S to SW in the early morning, S to SE later in the morning, SSE to ESE from mid afternoon and light and variable during the evening.
• 15/4/19: Fine except for late afternoon light few drops. Partly cloudy with cu and sc clouds and ci/ cs during the day. Variable temperature during the morning and afternoon. Dew point was near average while slowly rising before falling during the evening. Light and variable winds early becoming S to SW from early morning, S to SE from mid morning, SE to NE from early afternoon and easing in the evening.
• 16/4/19: Light showers in the late morning and early afternoon. Partly cloudy with cu and sc clouds and some ci and cc clouds. Dew point rose during the morning and close to average, before falling slowly in the evening with a brief spike upwards with the showers. Variable temperature and relative humidity with the showers. Light SSW to WSW winds early, shifting SSE to SSW during the morning and light and variable for rest of the day with winds more WSW to SE in the early evening.

Near average dew point rising during the morning and generally falling in the afternoon before becoming stable in the evening. Light WSW to SSW from early morning, becoming SSW to SSE, S to SE from mid morning, ENE to SE from mid afternoon, E to SE from late afternoon and variable winds easing in the mid evening.
• 18/4/19: Fine and partly cloudy, with cu clouds and some ac and sc clouds. Very variable temperature during the morning and afternoon. Near average dew point rising during the morning, then quickly fell slightly and was generally stable for the rest of the day. Light S to SW winds backing during the day becoming S to SE in the afternoon and veering from late afternoon becoming S to SW from mid evening.
